A solution for Washington!

Sunday, April 5th, 2009

We, the citizens of the United States, are to blame for the mess we are in.

As anyone who has watched “The Dog Whisperer” has learned, most poor behavior on the part of a dog is due to the dog assuming the alpha role. They think they are in charge, and stop listening to their masters. They begin to show psychotic behavior….

How do we resolve this? As on Dog Whisperer, we need to let the animals know that they have a role, but that role is not as pack leader.

• The dogs need to learn that they are not our masters.
• They need to learn that we are the ones that clothe and feed them.
• They need to learn that they can guard our homes, but only from threats - not from us.
• They need to learn that anyone who takes from one and gives to another needs to be bitten!
• They need to learn that an owner who is turned on by his dog results in a dog without a home.
• They need to learn that all owners need to be respected - the poor, the middle class, and the rich.
• They need to realize that you can not bite someone just because they earn over $250,000 per year.
• They need to realize that we buy their dog food, and keep them warm at night.

How do we do this? Let them know when they have overstepped their bounds. Let them know that misbehavior will not be tolerated. Let them know that we will soon have the opportunity to buy a new puppy (election day).

Inagural Addresses

Wednesday, February 4th, 2009

In my “day job” , I have the ability to listen to the radio while working.  For a long time now I have been listening to the Glenn Beck Radio Show.  I appreciate the fact that Glenn does not pull his punches and says what is on his mind.  I do not agree with him all of the time, but he does make me think.

One day, he was talking about Presidential Inaugural Addresses and how much we can learn from them.  I went online and downloaded all of the speeches and assembled them into one 250+ page PDF document, and have made it available as a free download from the site.  it is at http://www.connectionsplanet.com/Library/inaugural.pdf .

Let’s pass the word about the availability of this document.  If you know a history, government or civics teacher, how about sending them a link to this document?
